Additional guest voice cast includes celebrity chefs Gordon Ramsay and Alton Brown as cooking competition participant Bolton Gramercy and host Yum Laboughé, respectively; Daniel Henney (“Criminal Minds”) and James Cromwell (“The Young Pope”) reprise their feature film roles as Hiro’s brother Tadashi and Professor Callaghan, respectively; Susan Sullivan (“Castle”) as Fred’s mother; John Michael Higgins (“Pitch Perfect”) as Fred’s sidekick robot Mini-Max; Diedrich Bader (“American Housewife”) as pompous local TV reporter Bluff Dunder; Sean Giambrone (“The Goldbergs”) as Fred’s geeky archrival Richardson Mole; Naoko Mori (“Mamma Mia! Executive producers McCorkle and Schooley said, “The ‘Big Hero 6 The Series’ crew has been busy cooking up exciting new adventures for Hiro, his best friend Baymax and the rest of the Big Hero 6 team as they continue their journey together in San Fransokyo. We cannot wait for the audience to come along for the fast and funny ride.”

“Big Hero 6 The Series,” based on the Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Academy Award®-winning feature film, continues the adventures and friendship of 14-year-old tech genius Hiro, his compassionate, cutting-edge robot Baymax and their friends Wasabi, Honey Lemon, Go Go and Fred as they form the legendary superhero team Big Hero 6 and embark on high-tech adventures as they protect their city from an array of scientifically enhanced villains. In his normal day-to-day life, Hiro faces daunting academic challenges and social trials as the new prodigy at San Fransokyo Institute of Technology.

Beginning Thursday, May 31, shorts featuring Baymax will debut across Disney Channel, DisneyNOW and Disney Channel YouTube. A line of consumer products will be available on shopDisney.com on May 1, at Disney store on June 1 and at retailers nationwide on July 1. A DVD from Walt Disney Studios titled “Big Hero 6 The Series: Back in Action!” will be released on June 26.

“Endless Summer”: Jet is amazed to find out that the entire Earth doesn’t have the same season at the same time.  So he flies with Sydney and Sean from the northern hemisphere to the southern hemisphere to compare, and experience holidays in winter and summer… all in one day!

“Jet Shrinks the Kids”: Mindy feels bad that she’s the smallest kid in the group, so sympathetic Jet and friends use a shrink-ray and become her size. The plan goes awry, and Jet, Sean, Sydney, and Sunspot become the size of mice. Mindy has to follow intricate diagrams to reverse the shrink-ray!

Wednesday, April 4, 2018

“Mindy’s Ice Rink”: Mindy is impatient for winter because she wants to ice skate. So Jet, Sean, Sydney, and Celery fly to Saturn’s icy rings to gather ice from them, and return to build a Saturn-ringed skating rink around Jet’s house.

“Measure for Measure”: Jet, Sydney, Sean, Mindy, and Sunspot decide to make a scaled replica of the solar system using found items in their own neighborhood, and in doing so learn that an Astronomical Unit is the distance from the Earth to the Sun.

Thursday, April 5, 2018

“Mindy and Carrot Bake”: While making a cake, Carrot and Mindy find they are one are short one ingredient, so they head to the store, but Carrot accidentally pushes a wrong button on the wagon’s newly-updated control panel and they take off into outer space! Using a diagram, methodical experimentation, and record keeping, Mindy and Carrot figure out how to properly fly the saucer back home, where they finally finish the cake.

“Commander Cressida Begins”: Mindy has a problem: now that she’s been to space with the bigger kids, she realizes how much there is out there to see! How can she decide where to explore next? Sydney asks her mom, Dr. Skelley, who presents them with the very first edition of Commander Cressida comics! In reading the comic book, Mindy comes to appreciate that she, like Commander Cressida, can explore space “one adventure at a time.”

Friday, April 6, 2018

“Mindy’s Bedtime”: Mindy has to go to bed when the Sun goes down, but she’s having such a fun day with her friends, she asks Jet and the others to help her keep the Sun from going down. The older kids humor Mindy and try to help “slow down the Sun.” All their efforts make Mindy so sleepy that she decides to go home and sleep.

“Galileo, Galileo!”: Sydney and Jet are having a hard time explaining to Mindy that the Sun doesn’t move – the Earth is moving around the Sun, so the Sun just SEEMS to move. Then Sean comes over dressed as his science hero Galileo, getting ready to do a school report. Mindy asks “Galileo” to explain how come the Sun seems to move, and Sean practices for his report by explaining how the planets move, in character as Galileo!

Nickelodeon Releases First ‘Rise of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ Trailer

Nickelodeon just released the first trailer for its all-new animated series, Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, which follows the band of brothers as they discover new powers and encounter a mystical world they never knew existed beneath the streets of New York City. The 2D-animated series, which blends action and comedy and features a dynamic fresh look, debuts later this year on Nickelodeon.

The series stars the voice talent of Omar Miller (Ballers) as Raphael, Ben Schwartz (Parks and Recreation) as Leonardo, Josh Brener (Silicon Valley) as Donatello, Brandon Mychal Smith (You’re The Worst) as Michelangelo, Kat Graham (The Vampire Diaries) as April O’Neil and Eric Bauza (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) as Splinter. WWE Superstar John Cena lends his voice as villain, Baron Draxum, an alchemist warrior mutant who seeks to turn all of humanity into mutants.

Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reimagines the iconic series and breathes new life into the classic characters, with jagged-shelled Raphael as a snapping turtle, wielding twin tonfas as his weapons; Leonardo as a red-eared slider, using an ōdachi sword; Donatello as a soft-shell turtle, sporting a tech-bo staff; and Michelangelo as a box turtle, arming himself with a kusari-fundo. Along for the adventure is the Turtles’ most trusted ally, April O’Neil, a street savvy native New Yorker, and Splinter, father figure and sensei to the Turtles.

The Turtles also hold distinct personality traits and skills: Raphael, as the oldest and biggest brother, is the leader full of enthusiasm and bravado; Leonardo, the self-professed coolest brother possesses irreverent charm and a rebel heart; Donatello is a mechanical genius and tech wizard whose ninja skills are second only to his coding; and Michelangelo, the youngest brother, is a skateboarder and artist who is wild and imaginative.

The new 26-episode series is co-executive produced by Andy Suriano (character designer, Samurai Jack) and Ant Ward (supervising producer, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) at Nickelodeon in Burbank, Calif. Veteran animation industry voice actor Rob Paulsen is voice directing the series.

Viewers can visit the Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles page on Nick.com  and Facebook for more information and follow @TMNT everywhere else for Turtle Power updates.

Rick and Morty Fans Petition for the Show to Be Renewed for Season 4

rick-and-morty-rixty-minutessource: Adult Swim

Things are getting pretty intense in the fandom of the epic sci-fi series Rick and Morty. Who knew the most popular cartoon around right now could have any drama that comes with it? It seems like just yesterday when there was a total freak out over McDonald’s running out of Szechuan sauce, but now there is a bigger issue. Co-creator and writer Dan Harmon revealed on Twitter that Adult Swim has not renewed the series for season 4 yet and that it’s pretty much uncertain on what the future looks like. And thus, the national panic began.

You would think that a show like Rick and Morty that has popularity that is rarely heard of nowadays, which broke Adult Swim’s viewership record, to be the apple of the network’s eye and season 4 ordered right away. In all honestly, I expected the show to be renewed right in the midst of season three’s reign. This just isn’t making sense at all and I understand the outcry and panic of fans. Of course, I don’t quite suspect that Adult Swim would do anything insane like cancel or abandon the series, so let’s not jump so far into the conclusion pot.

Luckily with a power fandom like Rick and Morty’s, fans are taking matter into their own hands. I’m not talking ordering the season and making it themselves, although can you imagine? There has been a petition made with a goal of 6,000 signatures and already over 5,500 fans have signed it. I applaud the Rick and Morty fandom for not taking this situation likely. After all, it is the show that wouldn’t have the success it does without your support (besides the epic and amazing team behind it of course). With fans and creators, teamwork makes the dream work at the end of the day. You can find the petition here: https://www.thepetitionsite.com/940/304/408/renew-rick-and-morty-for-season-4/

Adult Swim, please end this madness and announce the renewal of Rick and Morty for season 4 already. Unless, there’s a clever and creative trick up your sleeves to how exactly you’re going to announce season 4’s renewal or release date. Also, if this is another surprise season premiere then BRAVO, because you have everyone fooled right now.

Garfield Is Back with a New Limited Comic Series

garfield comic 2018

Our favorite lasagna loving cat is back for another comic series. BOOM! Studios and PAWS Inc are proud to announce GARFIELD: HOMECOMING #1, a new four-issue limited series debuting in June 2018. Feeling mistreated and unappreciated by Jon, Garfield embarks on a journey for a new home and, along the way, meets up with a clown who works in an old-timey travelling circus. Convinced that this is the place for him, Garfield becomes part of the act. Wait. What is that cannon for?

GARFIELD was born on the comics pages on June 19, 1978. The comic strip is centered on the lives of a quick-witted orange cat who loves lasagna, coffee, and his remote control; Jon Arbuckle, his owner; and Odie, a sweet but dumb dog. GARFIELD was introduced to the world in just 41 newspapers and is now the most widely syndicated comic strip ever, appearing in 2100 newspapers. The strip, distributed by Andrews McMeel Syndication, is read by over 220 million people each day and is translated into 42 languages.

The success of the comic strip spawned an entertainment empire including television: Garfield and Friends, The Garfield Show, and a dozen primetime specials; movies: Garfield: The Movie and Garfield: A Tail of Two Kitties; hundreds of best-selling books, and thousands of licensed products.

Writer Scott Nickel (Garfield: His 9 Lives) will pair with a different artist in each issue of GARFIELD: HOMECOMING, as Sara Talmadge (Steven Universe) takes us through this wild ride in the first chapter of Garfield’s journey outside of the friendly confines of Jon’s house.

“Putting Garfield on the road in GARFIELD: HOMECOMING allows him to meet a variety of new characters – both friend and foe – and his journey takes him to some interesting and unexpected places,” said writer Scott Nickel. “We hope fans enjoy the ride.”

“I’ve always loved Garfield and getting to take him on an all new adventure with Scott and the team at BOOM! Studios was such a thrill!” said artist Sara Talmadge. “Garfield’s taking on the circus with his usual sass and legendary appetite… But can he be the new star act that the circus needs?  Every page in this issue was a total blast to draw (I mean, what’s more fun than the circus?), and I hope you enjoy it too!”

GARFIELD: HOMECOMING #1 features a main cover by Andy Hirsch (Adventure Time) with Sara Talmadge.

“We’ve told some incredible Garfield stories at BOOM! Studios, but we’ve never taken Garfield this far outside his comfort zone – both literally and metaphorically,” said Whitney Leopard, Editor, BOOM! Studios. “In-between all the crazy adventures and trademark Garfield humor, the heart of this story is one that readers of all ages can relate to – the search to find that place where you fit in and feel like you can truly call your home.”

GARFIELD: HOMECOMING is the latest release from BOOM! Studios’ critically acclaimed KaBOOM! imprint, publisher of world-class licensed series such asAdventure TimeSteven UniverseOver the Garden WallPeanuts, and Rugratsalong with original series like Brave Chef Brianna by Sam Sykes and Selina Espiritu and The Deep by Tom Taylor and James Brouwer.
